The Return of the A.1.P.

by Rob Kasel on 01/23/12

We're back.

New logo. New beginnings. Old name?

After a 4 month stint as Kasel Films, I decided it just wasn't us. We are Amendment 1 Productions. Period. End of story. Making a lengthy blog about why we're changing it back would be a complete waste of your time so I won't bother. However, I think its important to give you guys some new details about the upcoming Hand on The Devil "sequel" and where we are in the pre-production stages...

The original screenplay has been completely scrapped. It just wasn't very funny to be quite honest with you. We tried rewriting it two or three times and I was never satisfied with it. It seemed like the story just got worse with every edit I made. I'm sure you're curious about this plot. Usually, I don't share my bad ideas but I'll give you a brief summary of what the Hand on The Devil story was going to be...

Our setting is early 1970's America. The war in Vietnam is over. The counterculture movement has changed the fabric of this country forever. The feminism movement is rising. Women are beginning to give up their wifely duties in exchange for a place in the workforce. Father Peter Gryp is troubled by this female uprising and believes it may be an act of the devil. The film teaches men how to spot the devil's work in their women and comes up with ridiculous ways to prevent your woman from ever wanting to give up her role as a housewife.

Sounds potentially funny, right? We thought so, too. I can't tell you how badly we wanted to make this story work. For whatever reason, this tale just didn't turn out as great as we thought it could be.

Fortunately, we have a new plot that is currently in the works. I think you're going to like it. I'm particularly excited about the climax of this film. It's going to be a lot of fun. We'll have more details soon!

I hope you guys like the new Amendment 1 logo. For the first time in almost two years, I feel like we're back on track. You may also notice that we've created a YouTube channel. There isn't much on there yet, but all of the classic Amendment 1 films will be added over the next week or so.

New films are on the way. Sorry for the long wait. Thanks for supporting Amendment 1 Productions.
